Kevin Mannion, Owner

With more than 20 years of publishing and consulting experience, Kevin Mannion has led print and online publishing organizations to perform at peak levels.

Kevin’s corporate publishing experience included 12 years at CMP Media, where he held the positions of VP/ Publishing Director and VP/ Sales & Marketing. Kevin also has directed the CNET.com B2B team in online advertising.

At CMP, Kevin led CRN’s 50 person sales and marketing organization to a still-standing publishing industry record for the most advertising pages in a single year. Under his guidance, CRN reached its summit, $100 million in sales and $50 million in profits. The publication revenue doubled during his tenure from $50M to $100M in sales in three years. Kevin’s marketing accomplishments include establishing the CRN Computer Industry Hall of Fame as an annual IT industry event. Launched in 1997 in partnership with the Computer Museum, the CRN Industry Hall of Fame honors pioneers and luminaries in high tech at an annual event in Las Vegas and continues to be a pillar of CRN’s brand marketing.

Kevin was a pioneer in digital media in the early 90’s. The first successful advertising based CD-ROM, MAX offered users current and archived industry news, software and product information from Microsoft, IBM, HP and other leading vendors. MAX introduced both users and marketers to the future functionality of the web.

In 1999, Kevin’s focus turned to marketing and advertising sales in the online arena. His consulting clients have included major online publishers and start-up firms.

A former full time college instructor, Kevin draws on his years of academic experience in designing his consulting, training and coaching programs.
